NATIONAL PUPPY DAY: TEAM SILVER & THEIR DOGS

There’s nothing like the bond between a person and their dog—and we here at team Silver totally get that. So we thought we’d celebrate National Puppy Day by introducing you to some of the proud dog owners on our team and have them share a little bit about their furry friends. Prepare for some cuteness overload…

Breed?

French Bulldog

Story of how you got him?

I’ve wanted a french bulldog for the last 10 years or so, but they’ve always been out of reach due to cost. After finally settling in after moving to California, I felt it was time to gain a new companion. A friend of mine told me about a handsome young Australian cattle dog that was looking to be rescued. She practically promised me I’d get him, but ended up going to another home. After that, I applied for a few dogs that were up for adoption at shelters, and never heard back from them. After being frustrated, I just googled something like “So Cal frenchies” and started browsing. Soon as I saw this cute little brindled frenchie, I immediately called the breeder to see when I could meet the pup. Ended up seeing him the next day and put down a deposit. The rest is history.

Favorite toy?

He loves stuffed animals he can shred apart or play tug-of-war with. Now when I get stuffed toys I have to cut them open and take the stuffing out so I don’t have to clean it out of the carpet every day for the next few weeks. He doesn’t seem to mind it.

Favorite activity?

Chucks favorite activity involves being around humans or other dogs. He loves to socialize with everyone, a true lover. He loves going to long walks and shredding sand on the beach.

Most stubborn quality?

For the bulldog breed, Chuck isn’t stubborn at all. Really easy going pup. BUT he loves to jump on the couch when I’m not around even though he knows he shouldn’t,

One word that you would use to describe his personality?

Awesome

MICHELE, MASTER (VP) OF MARKETING & CHARLIE

Breed?

Wheaton Terrier

Story of how you got him?

My mom rescued him from a kill shelter in Las Vegas. He was in pretty bad shape and she nurtured him back to health. When my kids met him, they fell in love so like any good grandma, she gave him to her grandkids!

Favorite toy?

He doesn’t play with any toys. Doesn’t fetch, doesn’t chase balls, doesn’t like squeaky toys.

Favorite activity?

The beach is his favorite place. He loves going to the beach and running and playing in the ocean.

Most stubborn quality?

Barks constantly while driving in the car. I think he wants to protect the car at all costs!

One word that you would use to describe his personality?

Loyal

Breed?

We actually don’t know for sure, but my best guess is a Boston Terrier/Schnauzer mix

Story of how you got him?

Someone brought him in to my old workplace the same week my husband and I had been talking about adopting a puppy. There was me and one other person who wanted him, so they put two tickets in a bowl, and pulled mine! It was fate. This happened a couple days before Christmas so I always call him my Christmas miracle.

Favorite toy?

Right now it’s a full-size soccer ball that’s basically as big as him. He loves running around it and trying to bite it and bark at it. It’s pretty entertaining to watch.

Favorite activity?

He LOVES going to the park. We don’t have a backyard, so whenever we can take him off the leash and he has a big grassy spot to run around in, he’s in heaven. He also loves cuddle time.

Most stubborn quality?

Eating human food. He knows the sound of specific packaging, like for grated cheese or crackers, so whenever I pull one of those out he barks until I give him some.

One word that you would use to describe his personality?

Animated
